For breakfast, my husband got cinnamon bread french toast, and I got the Irish benedict with corned beef hash (though next time, I may not be able to resist the pancakes with butterscotch morsels and roasted apples)!

They also have fruit crepes (like the berry with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries) and savory crepes (like the southwestern with scrambled eggs, cheddar, onions, peppers, and salsa).

For lunch, they have items like a tuna melt, steak n’ cheese, or a reuben. Overall, we had a very nice, relaxed morning here, and the service was great too.

Wicked Fresh Craft Burgers

Wicked Fresh Craft Burgers is my kind of place. Here, they send out “fresh food fast” using local ingredients and smash each burger to lock in the flavor.

My husband got the Hangry Burger with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickled jalapeños, and cajun sauce, and I built my own with cheddar and bacon onion jam. We split the Wicked Herb Fries and the Chicken Waffle with fried chicken, american, bacon, and maple siracha honey on a waffle bun.

For dessert, we got black-and-white milkshakes, but they have more unusual options like salted caramel and toasted marshmallow as well.

The owners also opened the White Mountain Cupcakery at the outlets and even won an episode of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network!

May Kelly’s Cottage

May Kelly’s Cottage is one of the best restaurants in North Conway, NH, and serves Irish fare in a charming locale.

Here, the owners are the real deal, coming from County Louth in Ireland. The exterior is a cheery yellow, the interior is separated into cozy rooms per the Irish pub tradition, and the patio has nice views of the Saco River and Cathedral Ledge.

For drinks, they have an Irish beer sampler (Guinness, Harp, Kilkenny, and Smithwicks) in addition to plenty of whiskey.

For starters, they have items like Gaelic pizza with cheese, mashed potatoes, bacon, and scallions. They also have salads and sandwiches.

For entrées, they have age-old, stick-to-your-ribs classics like chicken pot pie, meatloaf, and corned beef with cabbage. The Irish Mixed Grille is particularly hearty, with steak tips, Irish bacon, Irish sausage, black-and-white pudding, baked beans, tomato, and fries.

The homemade dessert changes often, but they always have drinks like the Irish Kiss (Baileys Vanilla, Frangelico, and coffee) or the Pot of Gold (Baileys Caramel, honey, and coffee).

If you can, drop in on a Sunday afternoon for a seisiún, a laid-back gathering of Irish musicians!

Flatbread Company

Flatbread Company is dedicated to making pizzas with ingredients that are good for both us and the environment (think local, organic, and humanely raised). Here, the pizzas are wood fired in a primitive clay and stone oven made with natural materials.

They have specialty pizzas like the Harvest (mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, butternut squash, kale, cranberries, sage, garlic oil, and herbs), or the Coevolution (mozzarella, goat cheese, red onions, red peppers, kalamata olives, rosemary, garlic oil, and herbs).

We built a “No Boundaries” salad and got Mopsy’s Kalua Pie with mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese, pulled pork, red onions, pineapple, mango barbecue sauce, garlic oil, and herbs.

For dessert, we got a brownie sundae (though we almost got the root beer float). We sat inside, but the dog-friendly patio looked nice as well.
